Edvice2go was started in 2008 by Vanessa K. Harvey. Vanessa holds a Master's degree in nursing and a Bachelor's degree in communications. She has had extensive experience in nursing, customer service, teaching, and education. Edvice2go evolved as Vanessa decided to utilize the knowledge, skills, resources, and the drive required to implement learning tools that promote professionalism for today's healthcare professionals.
Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Edvice2go is here to fulfill the need of adult empowerment through knowledge and understanding. The growing demand for education and training throughout the spectrum of life is a strong indication that various methods of teaching and learning are not only required for success, but necessary. After the completion of the nurse practicum project at the conclusion of Vanessa's MSN degree, it was acutely obvious that this program could be a benefit to a great deal of healthcare professionals. The initial thought of developing a continuing education program for nurses led to the realization that many other healthcare professionals could and will benefit from opportunities for individual growth.
Education and training are quickly becoming a means of meeting training and education requirements, fulfilling continuing education requirements, instructing on new equipment, understanding technological advances, and providing new information and knowledge when needed. The goal at Edvice2go is for the adult learner to have the ability to learn when, where, how, and at a time that is based on individual preference. We strongly feel that every individual has the potential to know better, know more, know now.
